Were these helpful? Drop me a ♥️ below if so! #fyp #fypシ #viralvideo. RAW HONEY: Raw honey contains antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that make it a popular pick for many natural home remedies, particularly for soothing itchy bites. Basil leaves also double as mosquito repellant. Crushed basil leaves are natural itch relievers because they contain thymol and camphor. BASIL: You can chop some fresh basil leaves up until very fine, and rub them on to your skin. DEODORANT: The aluminum salts in the antiperspirant help the body to reabsorb the fluid in the bug bite, so they swelling goes down and the itch goes away. Extra credit? If using a baking soda toothpaste it becomes an alkaline, which can help neutralize the pH of your skin after a mosquito bite and alleviate the itching sensation. TOOTHPASTE (bonus if it’s baking soda based!): A dab of toothpaste on the bite will act as an astringent and the menthol in the toothpaste will also provide a “cooling” sensation. My favorite is raw honey and my kids is toothpaste, but they all work so well especially when traveling and camping in the summer (when you may not have brought fresh basil or honey to help) that I must share them! MOUTHWASH: Menthol is the active ingredient that cools the skin providing some relief. I’ve used these remedies for years for mosquito bite itch relief. ![]()
